Fillable forms, minus the printing

Job applications, rental contracts, tax paperwork — so many PDFs arrive as fillable forms with empty boxes waiting for your answers. Instead of printing, handwriting and re-scanning, open the file in GroPDF's fill pdf tool: it detects every text field, checkbox, dropdown and radio button in the document and lists them as a simple form you can complete on any device.

How filling works

Drop your PDF in and the tool reads its built-in form fields — including any default values already set. Type into text fields (long answers get a bigger box automatically), tick checkboxes, and pick from dropdown menus. When you're done, Fill & Download writes your answers into the PDF and flattens it: the values become permanent page content, so the file looks the same everywhere and can't be accidentally edited later.

Honest limits

Some PDFs look like forms but are actually flat scans with no real fields inside — nothing can detect fields that don't exist, and GroPDF will tell you plainly when a file has none (the Edit PDF tool can add text on top instead). Read-only fields are shown but can't be changed, and password-protected forms must be unlocked first. Your file never leaves your browser: filling happens locally with the open-source pdf-lib engine, so sensitive forms stay on your device.

Frequently asked questions

Is the PDF form filler really free?
Yes — unlimited form filling, no account, no watermark on your downloads.
What happens to the form after I fill it?
The form is flattened: your answers become permanent page content, so the PDF displays identically in every reader and the fields can't be changed by accident.
My PDF looks like a form but the tool says it has no fields. Why?
Some PDFs are flat scans or images that only look like forms — there are no real fields to detect. Use the Edit PDF tool to place text over the boxes instead.
Does filling a form upload my document anywhere?
No. Everything runs locally in your browser; your file is never sent to a server.
